Ordered from Maxcatch website. The rod was a pleasure to cast. Being a 10wt is was not the lightest rod l own but it's very well balanced and handled great. Having the butt grip I took the opportunity to try a bit of Spey technique (one I am unfamiliar with). It took me a few minutes but I was rolling the line out within a few feet of my targets in short order. This technique seemed to help a lot in the slightly windy conditions that day. The predator 10wt is fairly stiff, but cast well and with the larger(3"and 4")streamers and crab patterns I was casting the extra heft help get the line out and on target. When the snook hit I felt it immediately and had hook set in an instant. The rod is very sensitive and responsive. Recommend website!

Bought a wt10, to have a second fly rod in case of emergency during my trip in ireland
A actually use a TFO minimag 8-10 and use a 10 wt airflo sniper line (inter and s3).This rod is slower than the TFO. but clearly more powerfull and fit for heavy "large wind resistant" streamer. It is also a heavier rod (logically cause of the difference of length between 8' the TFO and 9' for this one). it's a fast rod but not x-fast at all as some saltwater rod are sometimes. Flex correctly with a fish hooked with enough backbone for what i have seen.
Was able to fish and be confortable with 25 cm tube flies (Bauer's tube flies), added with some weighted cone head and everithing in the wind .... nothing else to say.
