How to use a fly tying vise.

Start by adjusting the vise's height to a point that best suits your height using the adjustment screw. This will allow you to work from a sitting or standing posture. You don't have to worry about the involuntary rotations of the stand since its screws are designed to resist any unplanned rotation. Adjust the holding jaws to a position that is slightly higher than the desktop clamp using the swivel. Always use a swivel when you want to make any adjustments to the jaws. Open the jaws by adjusting the rotary shaft, attach the hook on the jaws and close the jaws to hold them in place. Modified fly tying vises are made of a cradle which helps to lock the jaws in place.
